Rant on Black Knight...and hello Eulachaha Waikiki
I didn't think this K-drama deserve a post on its own, but the ending definitely raise my thoughts for discussion.
Warning: This post contains spoiler.
Why on earth MSH became an immortal? I agreed with one of the netizens who commented that JHR/Boon-yi must be such a witch that all her curses/wish became true. And Sharon who is all the while the antagonist is actually the main character and the Black Knight of the drama. I really do not understand the direction of this drama.
First, we were led on and told that the 2 ladies became immortal because of the curse of Boon-yi and because they have sinned. OK, we got it, so they were punished to be immortal and the only way to break the curse is for MSH and JHR to be together. We kept on getting reminded about this for 18 episodes.
Then we saw that if the 2 immortals does anything to break MSH and JHR to be together, they get painful tattoos on their bodies, an add-on to the already immortality kind of punishment.
But Sharon seems to not have change her ways or her love for MSH was undying that she MUST have him no matter what. For 200 years, she has waited for him and for 200 years she must make him love her again. OK. We got it! That she has not learn her lessons. Her obsession with MSH turned brutal when she decided it was best to murder him so that no one can have him. Hmm....why don't murder JHR then? So that she won't take MSH away? Nvm.
But, towards the last 2 episodes, we found that MSH had became immortal, thanks to Boon-yi's wish that no harm will come to MSH. Hmm....and now being immortal is a blessing and not a curse? At least for MSH? But over time, JHR became old and died and he remains the same and lonely and all that? Curse or blessing? So, he is like her Black Knight in the past life and current life and will be for future life as well?
Or when Baek-hee said the curse will be broken when Boon-yi/JHR leaves MSH. So, that means after JHR died of old age, MSH will slowly become old and die alone? WHAT??!!! Why does he deserve this? Is it because he love someone who is not his wife? Had an affair with his wife's slave and this is the punishment?
I was utterly frustrated and disgusted with how things had turned out. A good guy became cursed. The bad guys had their punishment ended and disappeared for good. Clap~clap~
OK, I am done ranting.
On another note, I started watching this comedy, Eulachacha Waikiki and OMG! I love it so much!!!! The slapstics, the comedy is so much like Stephen Chow's kinda work. And that part about the breastfeeding mother, OMG, I can totally understand. It was hilarious! I recommend that all breastfeeding moms should watch this show. The breastfeeding part was in Episode 1 and 2. It was totally relatable and so darn funny!
If you are still not sure, let me share what was on Episode 2:
- baby needs nutrition, so needs breast milk and can't drink formula
- mother just pulled up her blouse and nurse, in front of 3 bachelor men and 1 lady
- baby can't seem to suck or get the milk out of breast
- mother had to pump it out to feed baby
- mother tried pumping, but still can't get the milk out
- mother realised it's a plugged duct and it was getting painful
- mother need someone to massage the plugged duct
- the girl who massaged the mother got sprayed all over her face and hair
Need to say more? I think the writer is a breastfeeding mom. Best part is one of the bachelor guy thought the breast pump was a massager and put it on his back and was enjoying the suction. That was so funny! But if I were the mom, I would have been so disgusted with it and would need it to be wash and sterilize and you know the drill.
I like how they didn't sexualize breastfeeding and was quite respectful. And I can totally understand the single mom who just pulled up her blouse to breastfeed in public.
And the baby is just so cute!!!
I don't know how this drama will turn out but I am already hooked on it. Yay! Something to watch on top of Hwayugi.
